CURRENCY & CARDS
The official currency in Portugal is the Euro (€). International credit cards such as Mastercard, Visa, and American Express, as well as international debit cards, are widely accepted in restaurants, shops, and hotels. You may be asked to present your passport or a photo ID when making purchases.
Make sure to enable international usage on your personal credit card before traveling. Most international cards also allow cash withdrawals 24/7, subject to fees from your card issuer and bank.
ELECTRONICS / POWER OUTLETS VOLTAGE: 230V
Portugal uses Type F European outlets with two round pins. To ensure your devices work properly, we recommend bringing a universal adapter. Also, check if your equipment — such as laptops, phones, cameras, razors, hairdryers, and chargers — is compatible with this voltage.
MEDICATIONS
If you take medication regularly, bring enough for the entire trip, along with your prescriptions in case you need to purchase more during your stay. If you wear contact lenses, don’t forget to bring extra pairs and your prescription.
If you have a health condition that requires special care, we recommend carrying a card with instructions for others in case of emergency.
In any health-related situation, please inform us so we can provide the appropriate support.
Important: Changes in climate, time zone, and diet may affect your body. As a precaution, we recommend packing essential medications — such as for nausea, cramps, or general pain — in your carry-on luggage. ABBVIE and INCENTIVARE are not authorized to provide medication directly. In case of need, we will rely on your travel insurance to ensure proper medical assistance.
DRESS CODE
To make the most of your stay and the planned activities, here are some packing tips:
Light and comfortable clothing: T-shirts, long-sleeved tops, and lightweight pants are ideal for the mild daytime weather. Dresses or shorts are also great for enjoying the sun in Lisbon and the Algarve.
An extra layer for cooler evenings: Bring a light sweater or jacket, as temperatures may drop slightly at sunset, especially near the sea.
Sunscreen: Even with mild temperatures, the European sun can be strong. Protect your skin and stay comfortable outdoors.
Comfortable footwear: Lisbon is known for its hills and uneven sidewalks — opt for suitable shoes like sneakers or flat sandals.
Sunglasses: The views from Lisbon’s scenic lookouts and the Algarve coast are best enjoyed with eye protection.
Swimwear: For outdoor activities like the Benagil Caves tour or Beach Day in Vilamoura, bring appropriate swimwear for a company-sponsored event. We recommend elegant and modest options, such as one-piece swimsuits, bikinis with moderate coverage, and swim trunks or board shorts. Consider bringing cover-ups like beach dresses, linen shirts, or other garments to wear over swimwear in common areas.
Our goal is to maintain a respectful and harmonious environment for everyone, while preserving the relaxed atmosphere of the occasion.
For the Awards Gala Dinner at SUD Lisboa Hall: The dress code is formal/gala — suit and tie or a long or elegant cocktail dresses.
