Dear esteemed colleagues,
On behalf of the EVEREST Global Executive Steering Committee and AbbVie, I am delighted to welcome you to this online platform for EVEREST, an ongoing, global quality improvement initiative in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) led by AbbVie with the guidance of global rheumatology experts.
The EVEREST (EleVatE care in RhEumatoid arthritiS with Treat-to-target) initiative aims to improve the widespread implementation of a personalized treat-to-target (T2T) strategy and enable patients with RA to reach their full potential for remission using an innovative, sustainable, and implementation science-based approach.
As EVEREST is designed to elevate quality of care in RA with T2T, we have used climbing Mount Everest as a metaphor to inspire rheumatologists to embark on this challenging but rewarding journey with us to help patients reach their highest potential. This initiative comprises of three key phases to bring knowledge to action:

This EVEREST platform is designed to be a central location for tools and resources to support your endeavor to improve T2T implementation in RA and connect with your colleagues who are on the same journey. For example, you will be able to:
- Learn from your colleagues through scientific exchange, as well as share your successes, challenges, and best practices in your efforts to improve T2T implementation through EVEREST in your local community
- Understand the barriers to and facilitators of T2T implementation in RA based on published scientific evidence
- Explore the global, regional, and local gaps and drivers of T2T implementation using the key findings from our global T2T survey
- Access various T2T toolkits developed by the EVEREST expert community to support your daily clinical practice:
Reflect on how aligned your clinical practice is to T2T recommendations in RA with our online scenario-based HCP self-reflective learning tool
Learn more about how you can incorporate T2T efficiently during telehealth visits with our telehealth toolkit - a collection of tips and resources, including telehealth checklists, a patient workbook, and an educational video on disease self-assessment
Equip yourself with our shared decision-making toolkit - a resource packed with tools such as a patient-HCP dictionary, patient workbook, and visual conversation aids-for you to use with your patients to make shared decision-making more accessible, straightforward, and time-efficient
