Important information about AQUIPTA

AQUIPTA is a prescription medicine that is not funded. It is available for private purchase, which means you will need to pay for this medicine.

AQUIPTA is a prescription medicine containing atogepant. AQUIPTA is available as tablets containing 60 mg of atogepant. It is used to prevent migraine in patients who have at least 4 migraine days per month.

AQUIPTA has risks and benefits.

Do not use AQUIPTA if you have ever had an allergic reaction to atogepant or any of the ingredients.

Before you use AQUIPTA tell your doctor if you have: allergies to any medicines, foods, preservatives or dyes; have any liver or kidney problems; take any medicines for any other condition; are pregnant or plan on becoming pregnant; or are breastfeeding or plan to breastfeed.

Tell your doctor straight away if you become pregnant while taking AQUIPTA or if you experience any symptoms of an allergic reaction such as difficulty breathing, swelling of face, itching, rash, or hives.

Go straight to the Emergency Department of your nearest hospital if you notice any signs of serious allergic reaction including difficulty breathing; swelling of the face; itching red rash or hives.

Tell your doctor and other healthcare professionals if you are taking any other medicines, including any medicines, vitamins or supplements that you buy without a prescription from your pharmacy, supermarket or health food shop. Some medicines may affect how AQUIPTA works or may increase the risk of getting side effects.

Common side effects: Tell your doctor if you experience any side effects that make you feel unwell.

Common side effects of AQUIPTA include decreased appetite, nausea, constipation, drowsiness (sleepiness) and tiredness.
